Flower Fields and Poetry

Flower Fields, 24" x 24", oil on canvas

This piece is mostly done with a palette knife.  I am finding it very "freeing" to paint this way. 

and here is a line from Anais Nin I love and think apt for this slow spring, but for also for personal metamorphasis.

"and the day came when the risk to remain in a bud

was more painful than the risk it took to blossom"
