This is one of a series of paintings inspired by standing on the very edge of the sand and feeling surrounded by the blue of the water and sky, sort of consumed by it. The colour blue seems to signify a negative emotion..but i think that blue is beautiful and all beautiful things have a tinge of sadness..perhaps because they are so tempory.
