The photo of this painting doesnt do it justice. It was a paint over of another painting and in this instance worked out very well. It created a richness and complexity that i cant always get with a straight forward painting... A friend and i were talked about it her studio yesterday..the paintings that are "redo's" are often the most interesting because when you go back to it a year or so later your painting style has changed a bit and it all ads up to a denser more complex and interesting painting. Also this piece resulted in a bit of a bidding war in my studio..the person who didnt get was very mad at me!
