Two Daisy's

Two Daisy's, 6" x 6" oil on panel, SOLD
A return to a familiar theme of flowers gardens against the sky.  My favorite gardens are wild and kind of messy and energetic.  I am working on too many paintings at the moment for my tiny studio space!  which will only intensify as the season moves along..hmm sort of like a garden.

I like this one a lot. I enjoy the way that you layout your paintings with the sky covering the majority of the canvas and then your foreground is a smaller part of it. Very nice.

I have a question for you if you don't mind me asking. If you don't respond I understand completely but I really enjoy your work and figured that it doesn't hurt to ask someone of your level. I was wondering if you would give me any advice to get my work in art galleries and trying to make it in the art world. I am still working on finishing a body of work before I start submitting them to galleries but wanted to know what was the best way to do it. It seems that it is extremely hard to be considered "good" and break into the art world. I sometimes wonder if I have what it takes to make it. I appreciate any info that you have for me! THANKS!!!

Hi Mathew
Well its a BIG question and kind of ongoing...All i can say is first step is to work hard at painting. Your work has a consistent theme which is a good thing. And you have some interested points of view. Just i would experiment a bit with technique.ie: painting beyond the edges. Gallerys are looking for a strong body of work, and lots of it. And just keep it mind its a lifetime of trying to figure it out!..Happy painting! cheers Coral
