The photo reference for these flower paintings are from quite a few years ago. Since just back from the desert it made me think of the time lag between seeing something of interest, taking the photo and then painting it. Hopefully the time lag between taking the desert photos and painting them wont be so long, otherwise I will run out of time!..So many wonderful things to paint.
