Garden Gate and Untold Stories

Garden Gate, 30" x 40", acrylic on  canvas
I sure am enamoured with painting abstracts lately!  Wonder what took me so long to get around to them.  But then I think that of all my latest forays in painting. I think I am happiest in the path to discovery, rather than knowing the outcome before i start.  Like the paintings have a story to tell me that I havent yet heard.

Little House with Red Door

Little House with Red Door,
 36" x 36", acrylic on canvas

The weather was so much brighter today than yesterday I rephotographed this painting.   Yesterday was so dismal and dark I dont know why I persisted!.  Photoshop helps somewhat but there is nothing quite like good natural light.   What a difference!  November is perhaps the hardest month for photographing artwork.

So Tell Me Something

So Tell Me Something, 36" x 36", oil on canvas
This piece i did while working on the Neighbourhood show.  I havent really done an abstract for a very long time and feel a bit like a dilettante, but I have to say it looks nice on the living room wall.  I hope to rephotograph it in better light as this photo misses the depth of colour
