Funny how an idea takes its time to germinate.  Last spring i wandered around my neighbourhood taking photos of things...with only a vague idea about painting.  Only lately has painting them make sense and now i wish i had more!..(next spring).  I only wish i could paint as fast as a photograph!.  I have such a backlog my laptop is full.

The colour in these trees is really amazing. I find the area of focus, that "sets" up the composition is the underneath beneath the trees..Another bleached out photo though, sigh

Here is a first for me! At least its been a very long time since i have painted anything remotely architectural or man-made. Though i think in this piece, its really just a counterpoint for the wonderful colour explosion in the tree
