Coast 2

Coast 2, 18" x 18" oil on cradled panel
I have started a larger series on the Oregon Coast, I love the open coast line, quite different from where i am from in BC.  The light is really different, though hard to pin down exactly how.

Whaling Station Colour

Whaling Station Colour, 6" x 6" oil on panel
This piece is quite abstract..focusing on colour but also on the simple shapes of sand and tide pools..I eliminated detail to enhance the serene feeling one experiences sometimes at the beach.
